Rebetez creates environments, the art pieces have their own function as part of the context, although they are often not representational and not homogenous. The space models encourage the beholder to create new associations and fictions.
Although those constructions are in the end oriented to daily perception, they subtly invert and mislead reality. Rebetez’ approach to space, often through the medium of architecture, shows the close and complex relationship between the inhabitant (beholder) and the context he is surrounded by.
