(*1960 in Höll/Alttann, Germany) graduated from the Staatliche
Akademie der Bildenden Künste
(Academy of Fine Arts) in Stuttgart. Working as an independent artist
since 1989, he creates light
installations, art in public places and works using light and
robotics. From 1990-95 Fleischer taught at the Staatliche Akademie
der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart interdisciplinary design,
scenography and
lighting design. His installations and light machines throw light at
objects and hence shadows onto the walls of the exhibition space. The
light sources meander, the shadows move and form geometric shapes
with the objects they derive from, they overlap and supersede them,
they grow in size and become
distorted and finally disappear again.
