Avesta Art 2018
Group show
May 19, 2018–September 16, 2018

The Avesta Art exhibition started in 1995. The art gallery itself is unique as it challenges each artist to create interplay in harmony or contrast with the industrial heritage and monumental architecture. Avesta Art as concept is the dialogue between industrial history and contemporary art. Every year the exhibiton works with a new concept and idea.

Between 1995-2010 the exhbition was a biennale. From 2011 Avesta Art is arranged every year.

The ambition of the exhibition is to attract new groups of visitors at the same time as providing Sweden with an art attraction with and of international interest. Every year the exhibition attracts approximately 20, 000 visitors.
