May 26, 2018–July 1, 2018
In the former sanatorium on the Wilhelmshöhe above Ettlingen, Florian Slotawa presents a group of sculptures from the years 2004 to 2018.
The conceptual artist selects utility objects according to formal criteria such as color, shape and material, and recombines them as to explore their multiple possible combinations. He has used the readymade throughout his career as an artist, first using his personal possessions, moving them from the domestic to the gallery setting and later using found objects. Space issues are just as much a focus as the social and institutional context in which his works are shown.
