TERRY HAGGERTY

Von Bartha is pleased to announce a new exhibition by the artist Terry Haggerty that includes new work showing the artist‘s recent exploration into three dimensional objects.

Haggerty draws on the vocabulary of abstract art to create paintings and large-scale wall works that electrify and manipulate the space around them. The artist’s central motif is created by painting patterned lines that alternate a light and dark colour. When juxtaposed, these colours play off of each other, appearing to advance and recede. By manipulating colour and line in this way, Haggerty’s imagery becomes a study in spatial and sensory perception.
