Von Bartha will present Berlin-based artist Claudia Wieser‘s first solo show, Comedies, Histories and Tragedies, at the gallery’s S-chanf space, 1 August – 12 September 2020. The exhibition title is borrowed from the first complete edition of Shakespeare’s dramas (1623). For the exhibition, the square gallery space will become a model for a stage set. Elements will include tiled pedestals, wallpaper made from both the artist’s own and found photographs, sculptures applied with gold leaf, drawings and relief-like mirror walls which form part of the scenic space, aiming to make the viewer part of the scenery.
