Landon Metz

Copenhagen
For his solo exhibition, multimedia and conceptual artist Landon Metz (b. 1985), based in New York, presents an installation featuring several new diptych paintings from 2025. This series advances his artistic exploration with dye color on canvas and introduces an exciting new motif: body parts. Metz will unveil these works to the public for the first time in Copenhagen through a self-curated exhibition.
The exhibition marks a significant return to Denmark, after his first solo in von Bartha’s gallery in Copenhagen in 2022, further deepening Landon’s fervent connection with the city, which has long been a place of inspiration, friendship and creativity.
For this final presentation for von Bartha Copenhagen in their present location, Metz unveils his most recent paintings from 2025 and invites his audience to witness new intimacy and truth whilst introducing an exciting new motif: body parts. The series of works remains nevertheless characteristic, as the body parts seemingly merge, move and extend over his iconic diptych formats whilst his signature earthy and warm tones evoke more fleshy accents.
