Karim Noureldin

b. 1967 in Zürich, Switzerland / Lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland

Noureldin stud­ied 1988-90 at the Uni­ver­sity of Art and Design Zurich Hochschule der Kün­ste ZHdK and grad­u­ated 1994 in Fine Arts at the Uni­ver­sity of Art and Design Basel/Hochschule für Gestal­tung und Kunst HGK. In his career spanning over three decades, he participated in numerous exhibitions in institutions such as Aargauer Kunsthaus in Aarau, Fri Art Centre d’art de Fribourg, Kunsthalle Basel, Kunstmuseum Bonn, Kunstmuseum Thun, Kunstmuseum Winterthur, LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur in Münster, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Cambrai, Musée d’art moderne et contemporain MAMCO in Geneva, Museum für Konkrete Kunst in Ingolstadt, and Swiss Institute in New York. He realized site-specific installations for various private and public collections, as well as residential areas, including Roche Bau 97 in Basel, Swiss National Bank in Zurich, and Auditoire Charles Pictet in Geneva. Since 2002, he has been a pro­fes­sor HES Fine Arts at ECAL/University of Art and Design, Lausanne.
